Globe’s iPhone 4S midnight launch
Because I’m a Globe postpaid subscriber, even with Smart offering an alternative (and I have my own stories of Globe’s terrible customer service and horrifying billing errors - no brainer for switching), I decided to stick with Globe. And thanks to Elbert Cuenca, Chairman of The Philippine Mac Users Group (or PhilMUG of which I’m a member), I got an invite to be one the first to get an iPhone 4S at Globe’s midnight launch at the Ayala Museum in Makati featuring Kaskade and other awesome DJs.

And so Smart today made it official, it’s now accepting registration for the iPhone 4S, even better than Globe by hinting an availability date - 12.16.11 - but both don’t offer postpaid plan options or pricing information, just yet.
Globe’s now accepting registration for the iPhone 4S (not pre-orders). Wonder when Smart’s making it official, if indeed they’ll be offering Apple’s latest iDevice.

Nah, it’s iPhone 4S!
No iPhone 5 announcement in yesterday’s Let’s Talk iPhone October 4 event, but Apple says it’s “picking up where amazing left off.” So the rumor’s true - it’s an iPhone 4 with the internals greatly enhanced, the iPhone 4S features:
- Dual-core A5 chip delivers even more power
- 8MP camera with all-new optics also shoots 1080p HD video
- iOS 5 and iCloud
- Siri, iPhone 4S does what you ask
Many are saying they’ll be skipping this one. Already? I strongly doubt it. Though I’m more excited to get iOS5 for my still beautiful-in-black iPhone 4 this coming October 12.
