CNN’s Eye On the Philippines
Today, Monday 30-April-2012, the global news network CNN begins airing a week-long programming dedicated to the Philippines through its “Eye On” series, highlighting in-dept interviews and special reports on the President, the Ayala conglomerate, Lisa Macuja’s Ballet Manila, seafarers anti-piracy efforts, child labor and poverty, and the Philippines becoming recognized as the so-called “Call Center Capital of the World” - hopefully a good mix of reportage on the tough issues and inspiring news. This will also include extensive coverage online and it’s special iReport initiative asking viewers to upload photos or videos and share experiences of the colorful sights and sounds of the Philippines.
